  As someone who travels extensively abroad, and in small towns all over the US, I have no issues staying in the "family" run motels along the highway. I generally prefer them since I just need a bed and a shower at a reasonable price before I hit the road again. I booked my stay through Hotwire, but I picked the hotel instead of doing the blind Hotwire move. I was very thorough in reading the check in time, since I had to land at ATL and drive over. The reservation said I was covered till midnight, so I was in the clear. I arrived at 11:15, ready for bed of course, and when I went to check in I was informed that my reservation was cancelled because I did not arrive by 4pm. I showed them the reservation showing that midnight was the cutoff, and I was shown a handwritten 4pm on the hotel's list. Rather than picking up a phone to call me and ask if I was planning to arrive, he changed the rules to fit his needs. Basically, the area was sold out and the owner knew that, so he took advantage and made a few extra bucks at my expense. I ended up searching for a place until about 1am, so it's clear that the owner, Jay Patel, lacks any sort of business ethics and put cash above the customer. Beyond his lack of integrity, he was also rude and just an overall disrespectful person. I cannot recommend this hotel in any form, and I would hope that Mr. Patel starts acting like a decent person who does screw over his customers for a few bucks.
